From a small farming town in central New York, I am now majoring in Childhood Education with an English concentration at SUNY Plattsburgh. Helping children learn new things is what I love doing, watching the children learn and understand the material is an amazing feeling. I have worked in several different classrooms at multiple grade levels. I would love to be an elementary teacher once I get my Master’s degree from SUNY Plattsburgh. I would prefer to teach first or second grade, because this is the age children learn so much and can really see the growth. It is amazing to watch. Since the first time I was asked what I want to be when I grow up, I have always replied “a teacher!” This has been my dream since I was five. Now at 21, I have almost achieved my life long goal.
